Cape May Zoo does not stay open to the public late into the evening in order to protect visitors from the dangers associated with wild animals visiting especially during late hours. Hence, the zoo opens by 10 AM and closes by 4:30 PM every day during summer. 

Moreover, during the winter season, the zoo operates at even more reduced hours from 10 AM to 3:30 PM. 

Meanwhile, the zoo is attached to a park that most of its visitors like to visit. However, the park has quite different operating hours from the zoo, it opens by 7 AM and closes by Dusk (6 PM most times).
